AromaTherapy
Essentials
Massage:
Essential oils and perfume blends can produce remarkable therapeutic
results when used with massage. They have the ability to penetrate
deeply into the skin tissues and are then circulated throughout
the entire body-mind system. Inhaling the aromatic vapors also
has an immediate and beneficial effect upon the mind and emotions.
For internal problems, massage the appropriate diluted oil(s)
over the affected area. Essential oils must be diluted with sweet
almond oil for better absorption and direct skin application.
SunShine SPA perfume oils are diluted blends of various formulas
of aromatics and other fragrances. Add 10-12 drops of the chosen
essential oil(s) per 1 ounce of massage oil (this is a 1% dilution)
for children, elderly people or those with sensitive skin. Guide

Bath:
Bathing with essential aroma therapy and perfume blend oils is
a delightful experience for the body, mind, and soul and one of
the most effective way to benefit from aroma therapy treatment.
In hot water, essential oils are readily absorbed into the body
tissue and the aromatic vapors inhaled. This benefits the entire
body/mind system. After the tub is filled, mix 3-8 drops of the
chosen essential oil(s) and/or perfume blend into the water. Breathe
deeply, relax and forget your cares! Wonderful suggestions for
the bath: Jasmine, Lavender, Rose, Rose Geranium or Ylang Ylang.
For dry or sensitive skin, dilute essential oil(s) into one tablespoon
SunShine SPA Almond oil, which is fragrance free, before adding
to bath. When bathing young children, or when using essential
oils which can irritate the skin, use less essential oil (2-3
drops) and always dilute essential oils with almond oil. Soothing

Inhalation:
The easiest way to obtain and enjoy the benefits of essential
oils is to simply inhale their aromatic fragrance directly from
the bottle. Try a few drops on a tissue or handkerchief to carry
with you to inhale throughout the day or on your pillow at night.
AromaTherapy Essential Oils
Steam
Vapor Inhalation: Essential oils are beneficial for
respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and coughs,
as well as congestion, colds, flu, and sore throat. Use 15-20
drops total of essential oil(s) in 2-4 cups water. Boil water,
let cool for 1 minute, then add the specific essential oil(s).
Cover your head and the sides of the pan with a towel, close
your eyes and inhale the steam vapor deeply for a few minutes.
Excellent oils for this purposes are: Eucalyptus, Lavender,
Peppermint, Tea Tree. These same oils can also be used effectively
for a healing chest rub. Use the formula for massage oil; massage
into chest and back.

Aromatic
Diffusers: There are a variety
of diffusers available which effectively vaporize and disperse
essential oils directly into the air. These devices are an excellent
way to refresh the air, kill airborne bacteria, promote physical
and emotional health, and create various moods within your home
and office environment. A cold air evaporation, multistage diffuser
which does not use any heat is best. Heated diffusers can break
down the essential oil and make it less effective. Several different
oils may be used and instantly switched in a multistage cold
air diffuser and it will distribute scent throughout an 800
square foot room in just minutes. Ask

Spray
Mist/Air Refresher: Mix 10-20 drops of your favorite
essential oil(s) into a spray bottle with purified water (shake
well before each use). Use spray mists to purify and refresh
your home, office and your aural energy field. Lavender is particularly
uplifting and refreshing. Lavender, Peppermint, and Rosemary
are excellent for clearing negative energies. Eucalyptus, Lavender,
Rosemary and Tea Tree are powerful antiseptic oils for eliminating
airborne bacteria during illness. Guide
